Yellowstone Family Trip!

There are some pros and cons to year round school.  It's the biggest blessing with Parkers schedule!  Parker works most evenings and weekends and at this point getting time off for trips or even just a day is almost impossible, so he doesn't see the older boys when they're in school much.  It's great when they're off track because we can go on little outings during Parker's middle of the week time off!  He's usually off monday morning at 7 am then sleeps till 11 then we're good to go.  He goes back to work Thursday afternoon.  We've always wanted to go to Yellowstone together so we took our chance when the boys first went of track this year the first week of October.  It was a tad chilly but just perfect for us Alaskans!  The boys loved the adventure and hikes and it was so successful we hope to go back again next fall.

We stayed in Jackson hole monday night at a fun lodge with a lovely pool.
We drove all through Yellowstone on tuesday and got home late tuesday night.  Here they are watching Old Faithful!  I love how sometimes pics capture their personalities!  B's always hyper and excited about things, Henry's always studying and thinking deeply about things, and Eddie loves being the center of attention so is all about cheesing it for mom!

There were some stinky mud pots.  Eddie amazes me with his keen sense of smell!  You can't get any chocolate breath or a quiet toot past him!  He insisted on hiding in dads shoulder from the smell. :)

This was the stinky place.  B and H have good "it stinks" faces on but at least they posed for a pic with me anyway.

And there's Eddie plugging his nose saying "P U" the whole time!
