More busy fun...

Showing off his road out of old jeans. Pretty fun for him and it was way easy! Thanks mom for the old jeans!

We had some rocks leftover from the fish so out of desperation to do my workout without interuption I threw the rocks in one of our bins with his shovel and trucks. Yes, a few rocks escape the bin, but he loves it and not only entertained him one day for my workout, but all week!

I've said before that he wears his boots everywhere, but sometimes he adds other things to his ensemble. After getting ready for bed he got all decked out. Parker keeps saying I need to get pics of him when he runs around being funny so we can show him one day what a fun boy he was. I told him to pose for the pic and I guess he wanted us to see his fanny pack.

Running from the camera....

He went to bed wearing his gear and this is how he woke up too:)

After I got him dressed for the day he got all decked out again and added his sword.

Not a very good picture, but it gives you an idea of how funny these boys are. Breitling was playing on the deck with his army parachute man, so Parker made him a pully so he could send him back up:)

Breitling loves baseball! He is always asking to watch it on tv and is making any stick we have into a bat. I had gotten him this set in the after Christmas sales for his birthday or something, but I think Parker got sick of him using his hockey stick and couldn't help but get it out early. He did pretty good at it and loves it!

Anchorage has a cool kids day with a bunch of free activities. Breilting's favorite part was the fire trucks and showing off his cool fire boots to the firemen!

And lastly here is another one of my pinterest creations. Mine never look as good as theirs, but at least I am dressing up my house a little bit.

Another fun week!

Now that the kids are both in bed and Parker is at work I should be cleaning the yucky spill in the oven, but posting my cute kids sounded more fun!

There are always ideas for paper plate creatures on pinterest so I thought why not make his favorite thing out of paper plates. I'm sure you can tell he is quite proud of his creations!

Other than Parker not being able to be at church on Sunday with us we love his new schedule. It makes it seem like we have a super long weekend and lots of time to do fun things as a family together. He gets home Wednesday at 6 am and doesn't go back until Saturday at 2:30.

Here we are at a super cool glow in the dark mini golf place. It was Breitling's first time. Breitling had fun running around and Henry had fun on Dad's back.

Isn't that just precious! Parker has been awesome and taken us for a bike ride every day this week, but today we caught this sweet moment when we got home.

Easter!!

Cute boots huh! I figure in 20 years we will enjoy to look back at our Easter pics with our cute 2 year old, so I pick my battles and that is not one of them! He wears his boots EVERYWHERE! I am quite surprised we havn't had that battle wearing them to church before today. Since we did our easter pics with the timer no one was there to make Henry smile so I took Cute Easter pics of him running around. Too bad I am not computer smart then I could photoshop it.

My camera messed up the pics of them opening their Easter baskets. So sad. But here they are opening Grandpa and Grandma's package.

Putting his coin from Grandpa in his piggy bank.

And finally here is the skirt I made from the material for the boys' capes. Isn't it fabulous! I just can't believe I made something that I actually like and will wear! Usually the things I make go to the back of the closet:)

Easter Eggs!

Not a surprise that we colored easter eggs. The surprise is that Breitling was able to keep so clean! He had a blast!
And later that day, Henry was grabbing on Parker's pants so Dad had this idea to attach Henry to him with a bungy cord, and then of course Breitling couldn't miss out on the fun!

A few of my projects....

I've been doing alot of fun projects for the kids to keep them busy, but I've done a few for myself too. Well, sordof. I made this picture for Breitling's room so he would have a temple in his room, but it ended up looking too good in my living room:)
And then inspired by all of my sister's painted furniture I painted this fabulous bookshelf for Henry's room. It is such a sturdy bookshelf so we wanted to keep it, but I tried to spice it up a bit.
As you saw in the other pics the kids thought it was a blast playing on it. This picture was taken later. I was busy doing something and Breitling comes out with his blanket and pillow and sat and looked at scrapbooks and then he laid down and said "good night." Funny kid.

Since the kids naps are not always aligned I had a little help from Breitling while Henry was napping.

My sister even warned me to take a before picture, but I forgot so here is the final product.

Getting creative to survive the winter!!!!

In case you are unaware Anchorage has had an enormous amount of snow this winter! As we speak(yes the second week of April) it has been snowing all day and last night! Along with the snow the kids have been sick more this winter than not. We go and do alot of things, but since they've been sick so much we've been limited. Thanks to my sisters introducing me to pinterest we have been inspired with alot of great ideas to keep the kids busy. I am awful at remembering to take pics in the moment, but here are a few of my projects from the last few months. I'll try and remember to take pics of the rest for later.

Picture puzzles! Breitling thought it was awesome putting together puzzles of himself and Henry. The lighting for it was bad so I don't have any pics of him playing with it.
Breitling loves doing puzzles lately. I don't think Breitling minds doing the same 4 over and over again, but I was bored of them so we made puzzles out of the front of any box we had so I wouldn't be tempted to go buy some. We made a bunch but here are just a few of them.

My personal favorite creation..... letter puzzles.

"I did it" he is saying:)

I am excited to say that this idea came all on my own! I was making myself a cute skirt(from pinterest) and realized I had alot of extra material. Bright red....hmm, what I could I use that for?

They love their capes. I tried so hard to get a picture of them together with them on, but because they are both such movers it was impossible so I had to catch both of them off guard. Parker took us to the library to get tin tin comic books. Breitling enjoys the pics so he is busy reading them.

I have wanted to buy him those magnetic connecting things, but in attempt to contain myself I made these with things I already had. Just so you know I don't think it is anything like the magnet ones, maybe for his Birthday...

I just put velcro on popsicle sticks so he could stick them together to make shapes and things.

Definitely Breitling's favorite creation! A monster! When he looked at my pinterest one day he saw this on it and started begging to make a monster, so we did it. Besides the gluing he did most of it all himself!

Out of a pringles can and pipe cleaners I made him a color sorter(like the cougar paper?).

My pringles creation only gave a few minutes of peace so we tried this and he LOVED it! It occupied him for hours putting the pipe cleaners in the strainer.

Later that day(you can tell because he stripped down some more, really how can you not want to wear clothes in Alaska?) I found him putting all of his toys in there and stirring it up for a yummy treat.

Going on a green hunt through the house with his green basket for St. Patty's day of course.

I made this in hopes to entertain Breitling in church since Parker is working now. I love putting the file folders in a three ring binder and with magnets. It makes it much easier!

Dressing the missionary and Captain Moroni is his favorite page!

Shape puzzles.

Just a lot of good times...

More sledding on his cool sled from Grandpa. His friend Lily has a perfect hill at her house that we went on.

And this is what happens when you have snow on the ground for 7 months of the year...

Breitling leaned the lamp on the couch and said he was going to slide down it. I had to think fast to come up with a little better alternative.

I just had to snap a pic of him when I saw his cute smile as he was playing in there. Like the book shelf? More pics to come when I finish it.

And then Breitling couldn't be left out of the picture so he insisted I take another one with him too.

And then Dad came home and thought it would be fun to make Henry jump in his arms.

It was a warm day (if you call the 40's warm) so we took advantage and took a walk for FHE. The boys had fun climbing to the top of the snow pile.

He made it and was so proud!

He decided sliding on his bum was easier to get down.

Henry's favorite place in the tub is next to the running water.
