Easter!

It was another lovely holiday with our little gems.  I just love this age!  They are just sponges for the gospel and soak in all that we teach them.  When he talked to grandparents this week B said "Easter is all about Jesus."  Although B did get his chocolate bunny and jelly beans he asked for I am so glad he understands the real meaning of Easter.  For our nightly scriptures all month we did pictures of Christ leading up to the ressurection and on one night Parker asked them "who is this a picture of?"  After they both replied "Jesus!," Parker asked them how they knew and B responded "Because we remember him from Heaven."  Ahh, as wonderful as family time is dying Easter eggs and such, these are the sweet moments I'll treasure forever.  Every night doing scriptures and prayers sure isn't perfect or smooth or easy, but I just remind myself what sponges they are at this age and I don't want to miss any opportunity to teach them and help them feel the spirit, because before we know it they will be teenagers:)

 

A friend handed down this jacket to B this week and he is hardly ever found without it on.  I am so glad he loves it because he hates the two I had for him in his size so he always asks Henry to trade with him and wears a super small 2T jacket instead while Henry wears a huge 4T jacket.  However I really wanted an Easter picture without it on.

Once I convinced him to take a pic without it silliness ensued and so much for a good picture, but at least I got a picture and amazed myself yet another sunday of being to 9:00 church 15 minutes early without Parker's help. 

 But they sure are cute!  This may be another of my favorite pictures of them together.  

 Easter Eggs with Daddy!  Parker had them give a thumbs up when they liked the end result of their egg and were ready to pull it out so here are all their thumbs ups on our great eggs.

King Benjamin Towers

 In the past we've built a tent like the people in the Book of Mormon to watch conference in, but this time for our pre conference Family Home Evening we built King Benjamin towers.  They even put a lego King Benjamin on top.

Like I've said before they are best buddies, but not always, so when I catch cute moments like this I can't help but snap a picture.  Mid show Henry just starts rubbing B's hair without even moving his eyes from the tv.  He is quite our little sweetheart.  (Just ignore the fact that B is wearing my boots:))

My little inventor!

If you've talked to my little B recently you've heard something like this "hi, I'm Breitling and I'm an inventor!"  He's always got new ideas that he's sketching up.  Well, here is his latest creation.  A peg leg made out of his arrow and slipper in case he ever becomes a pirate and needs one.  I made sure to get a picture so I can remember his inventor days when he grows up.

 

And if you've talked to my henry lately you know he copies everything B says and does so here he is trying to invent a peg leg too:)

Busy indoor fun!

 I'm always trying to think of new ideas to keep the kids busy during the winter when we are stuck indoors.  I had this idea stored for an emergency from a friend so when B asked for a fun craft I pulled it out.  They just took their foam shapes, dipped them in water, and tada they stuck to the window.  A little wet, which is why B is missing pants, but it was a hit!

Alaskan Spring Picnic:)

During the winter we do picnics in the garage, but since parker has cleared our driveway so early we've been able to venture out to the driveway!  This year our snow is melting super fast because we didn't have that much and it's been so sunny, so before we know it we can have real ones on the grass!! 

 Yes, B is wearing his 18month old snowsuit!  We got out old clothes boxes for baby brother and he insisted on wearing it:)
