Solar System Walk!

Every time we pass the big sun when we drive downtown B begs to do the solar system walk.  It's a little over a 10 mile walk so I keep telling him when he's older and can bike it with me.  Unfortunately I don't think he'll be able to bike 10 miles before we move so I decided to take him before he was too big for me to pull him:)  

Of course he had fun and learned alot about the solar system, but best of all was spending time together.  We had a whole hour to chit chat.  He asked for story after story about my life and of course our little story teller had plenty to tell too.

Join our journey from the sun to pluto....

We made it, although some of the hills had me wondering if we would:)  Parker, Henry, and Eddie dropped us off at the sun, cheered us on along the way, and picked us up at the end at Pluto.  Henry's begging to go now too so I guess I get to do it again before we move:)

Shaving!

In case you didn't know these boys have THE BEST dad!!!  He took time sunday morning to teach them to shave on his way to church meetings.  As you can see they were pretty excited!

Christmas in July!

While Parker was out of town I FINALLY finished his stocking after 6 years of trying to start it!  I'd start a boy one for him and everytime it would go to the new baby:)  The boys and I put up the stockings with Kaylee to surprise him when he got home and then we got carried away and decided to put up all the decorations and do Christmas in July.  We watched Christmas movies, listened to Christmas music and we even pulled names out of a hat and each person picked a dollar store present for someone.  Parker was excited about his stocking AND thought we were nuts, but the kids had a great time and memories were made!

Cousin Kaylee visited!!

Can you tell the boys love visitors!!  Parker had another 2 week work trip so we thought it was the perfect time to have my niece come visit and help out with the boys.  The boys love her and she was super helpful, but we had alot of fun in between!  Thanks for visiting cousin Kaylee!!  Here are some of our fun adventures with Kaylee!

 Unfortunately it was a rainy day for our Byron Glacier Hike but we made the best of it and still went.  We got Kaylee all geared up so she felt like an official Alaskan.

Pizza night for FHE!

I'm going to miss seeing Fireweed all over Anchorage in June!

                                     
I'm also going to miss sharing the trails with these guys.  I could have stood and watched that cute little baby all day!
                                     
Brag time!  I'm so proud of this guy!  He is currently the Military Operations Specialist at the Anchorage Center which means he coordinates with the military on all of their exercises.  The biggest exercise is Northern Edge which involves over 6000 personnel.   At the final review meeting Parker was given an award from the general for being in the top 1% of outsanding performance.  They said no one has been recognized from Anchorage Center before, but he did such a great job coordinating with them. He sure did work hard and we're glad it's over so we can enjoy the rest of our summer:)
                                     

 We got to babysit a baby lizard while his owner was at girls camp.  The boys loved it!  We are not pet people so a week opportunity was perfect!

 Couldn't miss the parade on the 4th of July!  At least our friend was looking even though the boys weren't:)

 Love this boy!  He is all grown up doing his own hair and dressing himself although sometimes I wish I could still dress him:)

 And can't forget this little bugger!  He was very fascinated by the parade!
