It is sunny!!!

We are sooo excited to have a bit of sun this week!!! Note, in this picture you can actually see my shadow taking the picture!!
Breitling runs all over the house now with his push toy and gets so mad when he runs into the wall and can't go anymore so I brought his push toy on my jog yesterday and let him get out on the trails and push it around. He had a blast except for he kept on running off the trails.
The park we usually jog to has an outdoor icerink, but in the summers they just make it a basketball court so I took him there instead and he had so much fun running all over and not running into anything at all.
I was surprised but eventually he got bored of pushing and just wanted to smash all of the leaves.
This is Breitling's first babysitter (other than some friends and family) Cheyenne. She watched him a couple of weeks ago. She is so cute with him and he adores her!
On Sunday and Monday nights Tracie and I go walking/jogging on the trails, "while our husbands are at work", and Cheyenne started coming with us. This week we came back to our house and watched a chickflick, and took some pictures.
Parker thought it would be fun to put Breitling inbetween our bed and the base board. Breitling's face was so priceless he had to take a pic.
Our friend Jenn gave Breitling this basketball hoop and he is having a blast with it! We are so proud of him because he can already shoot baskets in it!
We took advantage of Parker having a few more days off work after my parents last week and did some fun things. We went bowling and Breitling was very enthralled watching us. He clapped for us anytime we started cheering.
So is about done sitting in his saucer, but he loves to play in it like a jungle gym. He is always crawling into it.

Family Pictures

While my Dad was here he took some great family pictures for us! Parker of course requested that the pictures be taken in Cordova since he thinks it is the most beuatiful place in the world. We did some on a bridge and some in front of the glacier.

Grandpa and Grandma Barlow Visited!!

My parents came to visit for a week and we had a blast! Here is a travelogue of our fun trip! Thanks Mom and Dad for the fun visit and for letting us go on a few dates without our cute little man!!!!

Day 1
We went to Mooses Tooth Pizzeria for dinner when my parents arrived. Here is Breitling on Daddy's WET lap at the restaraunt. It was quite a proud moment for me when Breitling dumped Parker's whole water on his lap. Usually it's me that has that has things like that happen, so Daddy finally got it!

That night Parker had his Court of Honor so we all went and supported him. It was fun seeing him in action. He is such a great Scout Master! Here is a pic of all of the boys present who had received their Eagle Scout Award. Unfortunately Breitling and I did not enjoy it so much since we came down with some sort of bug so Breitling puked on me during it a few too many times to count.Day 2
Breitling was still a little sick most of our trip, but obviously from this pic he felt a little better. We decided to take my parents to Cordova which is the town where Parker spent his summers visiting his Grandparents. Cordova is only accesible by plane or boat so we took the ferry there. We first took the train from Anchorage to the ferry port in Whittier because it is a beuatiful train ride.
So here are some pics in the train. Breitling sure enjoyed it.

In Whittier we had quite a bit of time before our ferry left so we went salmon berry picking. Parker always talks about how good they are, but they don't have them in Anchorage so I haven't tried them yet. They were interesting. They look like a raspberry but taste like an orange.
Here we are having lunch at the port waiting for our ferry to leave.
And here we are on the ferry. Breitling of course had fun again watching out the window.
We were quite impressed how strong his little biceps are. He couldn't reach the seat with his feet, but he held himself up on the chair with his hands, and with a little supervision from Daddy.

I finally gave up containing our little mover and he got away.
Day 3
Our first day in Cordova we went to Child's glacier. We were super happy it didn't rain too much! The mosquitos were pretty bad so here is our cutie with his bug net covering his stroller. It is funny how when he has his net over him all strangers conversation starter is "I wish I had one of those over me right now!"
We grilled us some sausages and steak and then built a fire and roasted some marshmallows while we watched the glacier calving. Even though it wasn't raining we were still freezing if you can't tell.

My Dad caught this cool picture of us three watching the glacier calv. If you can't tell it was a big one!
Here we are in front of the million dollar bridge. For those of you who don't know it is famous because it leads to nothing, yet in the big earthquake a few years ago it fell down and they spent a million dollars to repair it. Well, it did lead to a mine back in the day, but the mine is no longer there, and it could lead to a road to Anchorage one day, but they haven't built a road from there yet.
We rented a cute little condo in Cordova. Here we are playing some games. Breitling was sure sweet on Grandpas lap.

Day 4
We did a bit of fishing in Cordova and then we decided to take my parents for a little hike into a fishing hole. We did the hike last year, but I guess we forgot that it was a little rocky and long. It ended up raining during our hike so it was very muddy too. It was quite the adventure for my parents. There were some parts of the hike that were just marshy mud with some boards to walk on. Except for Parker we all fell in a few times and ended the hike a wet muddy mess.
Breitling LOVES his backpack! He definitely stayed the driest under his little canopy and I am pretty sure he enjoyed the hike the most! Here we are at the fishing hole doing what Breitling and I do best, watching Daddy fish.
We were all getting a bit antsy to leave so Parker caught a red Salmon for us so we could feel successful and leave.
This is our before the hike picture, don't we look excited!
And here is our after picture sopping wet and muddy. Breitling is on Parkers back in case you can't see him.
Day 5
On the ferry back to anchorage.
Day 6
It was awesome that Parker had Sunday off this week!!! We loved having him at church with us! We can't wait for September because then our church time changes to 9:00 am and he can come to church with us before he goes to work at 2:00.
On Sunday we had a fondue party. We started with the cheese course and then we took a walk to let it settle and then we had an awesome meat course and then we played a bunch of games to let it settle more and then we had the best course, chocolate!!!!
Day 7
We drove up Hatchers Pass to an old mine and walked around. Here we are on the back of the old mine train.

Of course we had to go to the berry factory! My parents hadn't seen any moose yet so we drove out to one of our nice parks and on the way finally saw this poor little guy with a sad antler.
We walked around on the trails and this one walked out of the bush right in front of us. After this we saw 6 more moose driving around until my parents went home so I think they saw their fair share.
My Dad let Breitling play with his iphone with music playing, well until Breitling got it super sticky:) He of course LOVED it!
He does the funniest thing when he is excited about something. He holds it up in the air and then he turns around and around in a circle on his bum. Maybe it is his way of dancing, I am not sure.

More Fun Times!

We have sure been having a blast together this summer! Here are some pics from some of the fun things we've done the last few weeks.

These three pics are from the airshow yesterday. Parker has been looking forward to it all week as you can imagine. Breitling was a trooper since his Dad wanted to see the whole thing and go all day:) It was quite loud so we made Breitling wear Parker's pilot headset. Poor thing they squashed his little cheeks a bit.
Breitling LOVES his new backpack I got for my birthday! It gets alot of use here since we are always outdoors.

Friday night we went to our ward campout, although it just turned into a couple hour dinner because the bugs were terrible that everyone went home slowly until there was no one left. Breitling was mesmerized by the fire and stared at it forever.

It has been raining a ton lately! We go out anyway otherwise we would never do anything this summer if we stayed in everytime it rained. Breitling is getting used to his rain cover. Our playgroup this week opted to go to an indoor playground. We usually go to a different park every week. Breitling had a blast! Here he is on the horse with his buddy Marshall behind him. We are definitely going to go back alot because he is free until he is walking!
Parker was in the mood for Pavlova this week. It is an Australian dessert he had on his mission. He made it a few times and perfected it so he insisted on a picture of his masterpiece. Looks delicious huh!
We have wanted to get Breitling a walking toy for a long time since he walks all over our furniture so we finally splurged. Here he is helping Parker put it together.
And this pic is for Aunt Joan. Yes, our little cutie does have a temper. He is crying because Parker had to take the pieces out of his hand to be able to finish putting together his toy.
He cheered up quickly when it was done for him to play with.
It turns into a car too. I love it when he gets excited about something new he always looks up at us like "do you see how cool this is?" He is looking at Parker in excitement of his new toy!
Yes in this picture it appears he is sleeping on a log! He got the trait of being able to sleep anywhere from me! Last weekend we went salmon fishing on the Kenai with our buddies John and Tracie. Once again Breitling was a trooper! It was raining most the day so we kept him in the backpack with a rainjacket on him then when he fell asleep we just leaned his backpack on a log. He enjoyed the whole adventure. He just loves getting out and prefers going on adventures with us than being inside at home all day.
We went out a while ago to the airport to watch the airplanes take off and land. Breitling loved watching them with his Dad in the front seat. I have a feeling he will have a chance to see alot of airplanes because of his Dads obsession.
Here he is with one of his favorite toys our friend handed down to us. He loves it when we stack them all up so that he can knock them down.
