The Northern LIghts!!!

Well, we have lived here 2 1/2 years and still haven't seen the Northern Lights. This week they were supposed to be amazing so we bucked up and woke the kids up at 10 to go out of the city to see them. We made an event out of it and went for milkshakes on the way. Unfortunately we did not see the lights, but Breitling couldn't be happier with the outing since he got a milkshake.

Don't worry, we ended up seeing the lights a different day! When Parker drove home from work at 6
am he ran in the door to tell us that we could see them even in the city. Against my will we all happened to be awake and we did see an fantastic show, unfortunately we don't have professional cameras so no photos will be forthcoming! Alaksa is amazing! One more thing off my Alaska checklist.

Parker Finished!

Yep, he did it! It was three years ago that we went to Oklahoma and started his training and now he is officially an air traffic controller! We are so proud of him! It has been about a week since he finished and he comes home everyday and says how much he loves his job. He better so those three years wern't for nothing!
We went on a date to celebrate and on the way home got a snowcone machine to celebrate with Breitling. He LOVES it and is always begging Dad to make him more.
