Wonderful Holidays!

We had wonderful holidays!!! Parker was off work for a whole week 2 weeks before Christmas so we were able to spend alot of time together as a family. We didn't get too many pics of Christmas because as soon as we would get out the camera Breitling would stop opening presents and want to play with the camera, but here is what we have. Thanks everyone for all of the fun presents and making it a fun Christmas for Breitling!

Parker had just put his huge gloves on Breitling and he felt so cool running around.
Oops, one fell off. What I love about this pic is that there is Parker sitting in the background on the computer. So typical that he puts big gloves on Breitling and then walks away and forgets about him. Here are some other examples from the week. When Breitling woke up from his night one day this week I was holding him in bed letting him rest a bit more when I felt a pencil stuck in the bottom of his pj's, poor Breitling had to sleep with it there all night, good thing it wasn't sharpened yet. On Christmas morning I noticed Breitling walking around tripping and whining a bit and when I picked him up there was his hard golf sized ball stuck in the bottom of his pj's in front of his toes. We might have to stop wearing footed pj's!
We went to our Alaska Museum on the free day this week. Breitling loved the childrens area, but he really loved pulling daddy's hair more!
Happy 25th Birthday Parker! He wanted eclairs for his cake. I'm proud of myself for learning how to make them and the best part is they were sooo yummy! He can request eclairs every year!
Christmas morning opening our stockings! He loved all his toys from everyone, but he really enjoyed trying all his new snacks from his stocking and successfully got crackers all over our floor.

Opening his present from uncle garrett, however I think his grandpa influenced what present Garrett got him.
And it is.... a pocket knife! Yep, I think they are trying to make an outdoorsman out of him already!
Thanks to the corts for our awesome rain gear!
Arn't we so cute in our sweaters from Aunt Joanie!!! She is such an amazing knitter! Breitling wore his outfit today to church and got so many compliments on his cute hat and sweater!

Our little dancer!

Parker took this video a few weeks ago and I keep forgetting to post it. Breitling just LOVES music and as soon as he hears some he starts moving it. Man, little kids are soo cute when they dance! I wish I looked that cute when I danced!!!

Christmas Decorating

I just finished Breitling's Stocking and I have to post it because I am so proud I finished such a big project!
Putting up ornaments with Daddy..
And here is the tree all done. Breitling just loves the tree especially with the lights on and I am surprised he hasn't destroyed it too much, yet.
Note: I was at the rink when Parker got Breitling in his jammies! He does have matching tops and bottoms in his drawer, but we are just greatful that Parker got him ready for bed:)

Cross Country Skiing Adventure!

Here we are when we went skiing over Thanksgiving with our friends. Good thing the Lewis's brought a camera so I could document my first time skiing.
Here we both are going down our first hill in the park just behind our house.

Here we are at the top of the huge golfing hill in the middle of the park. It is a big sledding hill, don't worry we didn't ski down it. That would have been a disaster!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had an awesome Thanksgiving weekend as a family although we don't have too many pics to show for it. Here is a recap of the fun we had without any pics. We went over to a friends for Thanksgiving dinner and Breitling had a blast tearing apart a new house and playing with their 3 kids. On friday we got a babysitter and we went with the Lewis's cross country skiing on the trails behind our house. I fell down and up the hills too many times to count, but we had a blast! Tracie and I went again Saturday night and took a non hilly route and I did much better. On Saturday we had to watch one BYU game of the year and since we don't get the games on our tv we went to it at a sports bar. Breitling enjoyed it too although he could have done without all the Ute fans hollering in the room. Every time they cheered he would cry.

Parker puts his big shirts on him and and my belt and lets Breitling run around with his flashlight in the dark and pretend he is Yoda. Breitling just feels super cool in his big shirts.
We got a foot of fresh snow on Thanksgiving but it was super warm so when we got home from dinner we went out and played. We tried a new hill for Breitling that was less steep and longer and he loved it! Here he is at the top getting ready to go down.
Then Parker covered his whole body up in the snow(except his face of course) and then Breitling would hurry and uncover himself.
On Friday night we warmed up after our skiing with some soup and a crab feast. Breitling and I just opted for soup, but here are those enjoying their crab.

First Birthday!!!!

Opening presents when he woke up....

Playing with his new train. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!
Making frosting for his cake. He loves to help me in the kitchen and he loves noises, so he is very fascinated by the mixer. Check out that grip! He holds on tight even when it is on high speed.
Check out that awesome cake!!! I was so proud of myself for doing such a great job on my first cake!
After his first few bites he realized he liked sugar and smiled.

We did just a little party with four of his buddies. Here he is opening presents...
This has quickly become his favorite toy. It is a dinosaur that has a flashlight in its mouth. When you squeeze the tail his mouth opens up as he roars and the light flashes. Here he is roaring with it.
He is playing ball with his friend Janella. He just loves her and couldn't stop hugging her all night.
After all the crowd left he got to play with his new hockey stick. Thanks John and Tracie!
Post Birthday morning he ran all over the house with a balloon in each hand. Thanks Marshall for his new cute jammies!!
And lastly a video of him trying so hard to blow out his candle.

Just Having Fun

Parker is always putting things down Breitling's shirt because Breitling has fun trying to get them out, so I wasn't surprised the other day while Parker was at work and Breitling came up to me with his onsie full of odds and ends. You can tell in these pics his shirt is full. I took the toothbrush out, and in the second pic he is trying to put it back in. Funny kid.

Parker and Breitling just love it when we buy things and get a new box to play with. Our latest box has a handle on top. They just love it because Parker carts Breitling all over the house in it.

First Snow of the Season!

This week we finally got snow that stuck. I took Breitling outside with his friend Truss that we have been babysitting for a few weeks. Breitling had a blast figuring out what snow was. He didn't even care about face planting it a few times.
Telling me "oooh, mom it is cold!"
Just face planted it.

First Halloween!!!

There's our little monkey! We thought the monkey costume was fitting this year because he is all over the place. As you can tell I can't seem to get any pictures of him sitting still anymore.

This monkey is only used to bannana bites his mom cuts up for him, so obviously he didn't know what to do with a whole bannana.
As soon as we leave our door to go anywhere I let him down and he runs to our apartment outside door while I lock our apartment door. Now that it is winter he runs right to the bucket of salt. I am just not fast enough to catch him. This is him turning around caught in the act when he hears me coming down the hall saying "no, no." I love how all the books say at this age they should understand the word no, but not always follow it. Try, never follow it!
Walking to the car... so cute!

At our ward's trunk or treat with our little ward friend. I finally got a still picture of Breitling, but only because I pinned him down.
Parker was a great sport and dressed up as a logger for the trunk or treat. Make sure you notice his cool ax. It was very important that I got it in the picture!
Well, not Halloween pictures, but fun from the week. Parker made Breitling a cardboard slide out of his carseat box. Oh Breitling LOVED it! As soon as he got to the bottom, he ran to me to put him back up top again.
At the end of the slide!
