Christmas!

And Henry finally woke up past 7:30!  Of course on Christmas he sleeps in!  I was so proud of B for patiently doing his normal routine and reading books in his room while he waited for Henry to wake.  As always I get too into the moment with the kids to take pics, so there are so many sweet memories missing, but here are a few.

Opening his first present from Aunt Jeanie!  He loves his pillow pet and when we check on him at night we find him hugging it with one arm.
I was so happy the kids were begging to give their presents first!  Henry couldn't wait to give B his bow and arrow.  B had gotten a dollar one at a party and Henry snapped it in half so we took Henry to pick one to replace it.  We took him too early in the season because he had a hard time waiting a month for B to open it.

B picked a package of mustaches for Parker.  I couldn't resist letting him get it since Parker is always joking about having a handlebar mustache.
And if all else make sure you like the gifts you give cause then you're in luck:)

Showing off their gifts.  I must say those are pretty cute pirates!

To follow all the fun of the morning has been days and days of fun with their new toys!
Their science experiments from uncle Garrett...

Their robot creations from Mom and Dad's game....

More mustaches with the safetly goggles from their new tool set.  That has become their favorite toy to fight over.  With all the exciting things they got who knew safetly goggles is what we needed two of?
 Fun bath toys!
Even Dad got a new toy he's been occupied with!

Christmas Eve!

A yummy prime rib Christmas Eve/Birthday dinner!  B's mid dinner "Dad and mom you make the best dinner," made the dinner worth it, especially if you know my picky eater Breitling.

Two very excited boys wearing their Christmas jammies ready for bed.
And of course some cookies and milk for Santa.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Can you tell Breitling was super excited about giving Dad his fancy homemade card?

And that Henry was excited about Daddy opening presents?
After being home from his mission almost 7 years I finally surprised him and framed a painting a member did for him in Australia.
After five years of us being married and him begging for All clad pans we finally found an amazing deal on two of the pans and spoiled him.  The rest of the set will have to wait till next year....
And of course his Aunt Joanie's delicious Cheescake!

Ice Skating and Biscotti!

It was finally a warm enough day to go iceskating at the lake.  Well, warm enough meaning above zero:)
We have just one pair of skates for the kids so we took turns.  B is of finally good enough to skate on his own a little.
And oh my sweet little Henry!  He was frozen by the time it was his turn, but he loved it and did great for his first time!
And lucky us Aunt Joanie had sent biscotti the day before so we had hot chocolate and biscotti to warm up.

Winter Wonderland!!!

We got dumped on this week with the most beuatiful fluffy snow and it literally feels like a winter wonderland!  There truly isn't anywhere quite like Alaska!   We have a very small lawn space to dump the snow on and it is quite the mountain now!  Poor Parker's back!  Parker made the boys a little pathway between our neighbors snow pile and ours and the kids love their tunnel.

They love climbing to the top and sliding down.

Getting a picture of their rosy cheeks when they came inside.  You can tell the camera was still fogged up in the pictures.  Oops.
And then we topped the evening off with making our gingerbread house.

Trying to get a good picture of them with it...

And this one is the winner!  I love my boys!

The next day we topped off our gingerbread tradition by going to the gingerbread village.  Isn't it amazing!
Have you noticed how Breitling has his arm around Henry lately in all their pics?  Believe it or not he doesn it naturally!  They still have their moments (like B almost getting his belly button bit off this week), but they have become quite the buddies lately!

A Santa picture for the books....

Since we went to Sportsmans for an "Alaskan" Santa picture in a tent last year we decided to do it again, but this time we could not get Henry's finger out of his nose, so I snapped it anyway so I can embarass him when he gets married.  I love Breitling watching his crazy brother!  None of us can ever help but smile and laugh at that boy!

Ice Storm = sugar cookie day!

Everything was cancelled and closed today due to an all night and all day ice storm so we had an at home day.  Perfect day for sugar cookies since they take so long!

Watching Daddy.
Enjoying their creations!
Showing off his moose he decorated!
And theres B's half eaten moose too!

Christmas Tree!

I just love the holidays with kids!  Every little thing is so exciting and magical!  They loved putting up the tree and this year we even got to put ornaments on the bottom and presents under it!
And I even finished another stocking!  One more to go, although I've dragged my feet on Parker's since he loves his that his Aunt made him.  It will definitely be kept as an heirloom.
And our after decorating treat, eclairs!!  Not very festive, but we had extra cream from Thanksgiving that I had to use.  They didn't mind!
