Thanksgiving!

B's Kindergarten did the cutest little Thanksgiving Feast!  I got to go in and help them make their vests last week!  I LOVE volunteering and I love that he runs and gives me a hug and gets excited when he's assigned to my group!  I don't want him to grow up!
Eating our feast!

Here's one of the cute songs they sang:)
Our sweet little family thanksgiving!  Unfortunately Parker had to work, so we when he was able to make it home we just did a quiet family dinner for a change.  I love this crew and as much as we miss being with our family at the holidays I'm grateful that I have THIS family to spend them with!
We started a new tradition last year of acting out the story of the pilgrims so we decided to keep it up.  We could do better on the costumes but the boys had fun!

We had a hard time getting Eddie to sit still for the pics, but then as soon as we all left and got busy doing something else he goes back and sits in the spot and says "cheese!"  Oh man we love this boy!

Santa...

Bass Pro shops Santa:)  A fun family outing as usual!  And what did these sweethearts ask for this year?  They want an art jar:)  Well, I'm excited, because then these creative boys will stop rummaging through my craft drawers to do all of their creative inventions and projects, so hopefully santa comes through!

Sledding!

I Know more snow and sledding pictures, but these boys never tire of playing in the snow so I don't tire of taking pics of them in the snow! The boys had fun as usual!
Side tangent, the other day we were looking at pics of our cousins in Utah and B says "Wow, they don't have much snow there!"  Yes, it will be an adjustment when we move from here!  We will all miss it!

Eddie not so much:)  He actually enjoyed it until the end of the sledding hills when snow plowed in his face.

Snow Day!

I miss having B at home and being able to do all the fun adventures we used to do with him so we were all excited when school was cancelled for snow!  We went on sled rides, had hot chocolate, and made cookies!  We loved having B home!

The Big 6!

Henry and I had a blast decorating cakes while B was at school!  First was storm troopers for B's class.  So easy and a big hit with him and his class!

Next we made his cake for our family.  He insisted on a star wars cake and this is the only easy idea I could come up with:)  It's the planet tatooine in case you can't tell:)  The suckers are the two suns.
B's teacher goes all out for Birthdays and loves to make them feel special!
We love this unique little boy!  He is outgoing and friendly and loves to be cool but march to his own drum at the same time.  He loves pink, star wars, legos, and Eddie!
Here's a little video from his class singing Happy Birthday to him.  I love his class and teacher and HIM!

Present time.  Nothing exciting but a bunch of star wars things!
Star wars lego clock from Grandma B!  I'd say he was surprised and excited!

Lego mini figure from Grandma C
And Star Wars Legos!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Wearing his new Birthday outfit from grandma and grandpa!
Of course he can't take any picture without being silly:)
We were so impressed he built the first half of his Star Wars ship by himself!  He got stumped so Dad helped him finish.  He is so proud of it!
For FHE that week we made a thankful puzzle.  Everyone got a puzzle piece and got to draw one thing they were thankful for on it and then we put our pieces together.  B of course drew his Lego Star Wars ship:)  It was too cute to not document:)

He was very pleased with it!  It tasted gross covered in Graham crackers, but at least it was cute:)

Sometimes I don't think and I definitely wasn't thinking when I put trick candles on a cake covered in bits of graham crackers!! Lets just say we had a large dust storm in our dining room.

And B just happened to have an awards ceremony on his Birthday.  Here he is reminding Eddie to be quiet in the halls:)
Shaking the principals hand.  He got perfect attendance and academic achievment awards.  This first time grade school mom was very proud!  I'm so glad I can be a stay at home mom and make cupcakes for my kids class and go to their awards ceremonies and everything else!!

Fall Fun!

Some people hate Halloween because of what it represents, but I love any holiday because it means fun family time!  Here are our fall activities.

Pumpkin carving of course!  We planned it during Eddie's nap for safety and messes sake.
Silly as always...

And caramel apples!
Dry Ice fun!  It's impossible to get a good dry ice picture, but at least you can see those smiles and how much fun they're having!

B's School Carnival!
B's new faze is Star Wars and as much as I tried to convince him to let me make him something creative and fun like robots he insisted on being a storm trooper, so Henry and Eddie followed suit:)
Um, I LOVE my handsome little darth vader!

Halloween night!
The only reason I was ok with the star wars theme was because of this little cutie in his Yoda costume! His costume was especially fitting that week because we literally felt like he was the grand master of our house!  He literally screamed and knawed at my leg the entire Halloween day.  I somehow got him distracted for a few minutes to get some cute pics!

Stay for the picture pose mom, No Way!
So I had to get in to hold him, the witch definitely doesn't match the theme.
And this is really what he looked like most of Halloween day:)
