Mom gone...

My sweet sweet Grandpa Halls passed away and I was so blessed to able to attend his funeral.  I am so greatful to my supportive Parker who got off work and held down the fort at home!  More pictures to come of my lovely grandpa and my time with family at the funeral.

Obviously they all enjoyed themselves!
Danishes for breakfast!  I still can't beleive they had them without me!  Another happy smile!  I think this boy loves food as much as me!

FHE Bananna Splits!

We decided to give the kids their first banana split experience for our FHE treat.

Such a cute picture trying to patiently watch it be made.
Empty bowl, big smile.  He must have loved it!

Casey and Scott Visited!

We were so lucky to have my sister and her husband take a cruise up here and visit us!!  As you can tell the kids adored them and we had a blast!

On the Ulu trolley around town.

While the big boys were fishing we went to an old gold mine.

Checking out the old mining train.

We took them to our fantastic museum and the kids got to play with the turtles.

A hike up to a lookout over Anchorage.  Unfortunately the day was too cloudy for the full view, but the kids still loved posing.

And in their last hours we were desperately searching the parks for some moose.  We didn't find any on this trail, but Parker made sure the finally saw some on the way to the airport that night:)

4th of July!

We finally made it to the Anchorage 4th of July Parade since Parker didn't have to work and we wern't out of town like other years.  Despite the rain we loved it!  We thought the rain meant our glorious summer was over, but that is not true.  Since the 4th the sun has been back in full glory!!

And yes here we are trying to do sparklers.  Unfortuanately it doesn't matter how late we keep the kids up we can't seem to catch the dark, so we'll have to save the rest of our sparklers for the wintertime:)

Cousin Stetson Visited!

Parker's cousin Stetson visited to go on a fishing trip to Cordova with Parker.  Lucky us he came in the midst of moving and helped us! We still had time to have a little fun.  The kids love him and had a blast!

When his feet began to drag a bit lucky Breitling got to ride on Stetson at the end of our hike.
On a cruise boat tour.  Henry and I stayed home and from what I hear B had a great time having Stetson and Daddy's undivided attention.
Parker was so proud of Breitling because he heard the ranger invite kids to do the work book to become a junior ranger and he went up and got the book and did it himself without any help.

Here he is getting sworn in.
Showing off his badge!  And just in case I need to add B completely dresses himself.  Sometimes it is questionable whether I should let him out of the house or not, but I am just glad he enjoys dressing himself.  This sweater from Aunt Joanie is his favorite item so it usually ends up with any combination he comes up with.  He will be so sad when it has to go to the too small box...

Doing his junior ranger book....
Wearing a bear had with stetson:)

More Swimming...

After days of sitting in the hot sun with a black bag on it we tried the pool again.
Still no sitting in it but at least they got in it!

My Birthday:)

Of course my Birthday was lovely and my boys were good to me!  Breakfast in bed; fruit and cinnamon roll, my kind of breakfast!
They picked out a flashing firework card and were more excited than me to open it!!!

They got me all sorts of good foot stuff!  Our summer has been so lovely that I actually get to wear sandals so I better get my feet looking better!
And of course a chocolate ice cream cake!
Oh look at my cute Henry's face!  He is so excited he can't handle it!  He loves chocolate as much as his mamma!

And after he got over his excitement as you can tell he dove in and enjoyed it!!
