Our last day...

My fabulous sister offered to watch the kiddos while my parents and I went to the lunch before I left that afternoon.  While we were ordering our food we got a call from my sister that Breitling had smashed his thumb in the sliding door and needed stitches.  We hurried back and got him to the hospital.  It was quite the doosey!  He had fractured his thumb, ripped off his entire thumb nail, and ripped back the top of his thumb to where I could see his little broken bone.  They sewed him up and bandaged him up and we amazingly made it to the airport in time.  He was amazing!  The only part he really cried through was when they numbed his thumb.  The craziest thing was that while they were stitching him up he fell asleep!  Yes, all the way snoring asleep!  I guess the whole experience wiped him out!  He seems to be healing fine and surprisingly the pain hasn't been too bad.  The first day he let out cries of "mommy it hurts!" and now when I ask he says "it doesn't hurt too bad."  Definitely not the way we wanted to spend our last day, but we were blessed that he reacted so well, and that not only we made it to the airport in time, but that he did well on the airplane.  Let's be honest with two very active boys we were bound to go to the ER eventually!

He picked a bright red bandage, but we were so preocupied that I never got a picture of it.

A couple days later we took off the bandage and put on this splint.
Three days later we were told to take off his fake nail they gave him.  If you can't handle gross don't look at the next picture.
And here is his gross thumb!

Utah!

Next we headed to my family reunion and then Parker left us for a week longer.  Unfortunately, I don't have family reunion pics yet, but here is what I have.

My niece Kaylee came with us to the kids first visit to temple square.

The childrens museum.
I went with my sister's family to the dinosaur park.  Breitling has waited a long time for this opportunity!
He was pretty excited.  His two favorite things cowboys and dinosaurs!

He is saying giddy up as he rides the dino!

Our fabulous family!
And one pic from the reunion was shooting waterballoons.  Pretty fun:)

Trip to Boise!

Parker finally took the trip with us home!  Our first stop was Boise. We had a blast!
Breitling finally went fishing with grandpa in his canoe and of course can't stop talking about going again!  He caught his first fish! It was small, but he didn't care.

 He loves Garrett's sandbox.
Grandpa took us to Boondocks.  Here we are waiting in the boat line again.  We all humored Breitling and did it over and over...

This kid is so lucky to have grandparents!  He begged me for a snowcone and nothin and all he had to do was eye the snowcone and Grandpa got him one!
My silly boy!  He puts anything he gets his hands on on his head.
We also visited Great Grandparents VanWagoner.  He loved the rabbits they had and of course the popcorn he always gets there.

First Family Camping Trip!

On the beginning of our 4 hour drive to go fishing and camping near Talkeetna.  No fish, what else is new, but we had a blast camping!

On the way home it was a clear day and we got fabulous views of mt. mckinley!

Fishing....

Henry helping(if you call it that) Parking tie his flies.

Parker went on the Russian fishing with John. They didn't catch any fish, but they did get chased down the mountain by a mamma grizzly and her two babies.  They took these pictures later from across the river.
