Dieing eggs! The kids had fun and somehow we avoided any major messes or spills so we considered it a success!
Happy boy eating his fruit rope for breakfast!
And Breitling chose to eat his yogurt raisins for breakfast:)
Yes, this is the best I could do for Easter pics. I felt pretty proud that we at least got some since we had to be out the door by 8:30 without any daddy help since he was at work. Just imagine that garbage can is not there:)
Like Henry's boots. If I remember right last year it was Breitling who insisted on wearing his rainboots to church on Easter. I choose my battles and this is not one of them. At least they match his tie:) It just makes me smile and reminds me that they really do grow up, because look at handsome Breitling now wearing his sunday shoes to church without any guff:)
And, as a side note Breitling's eggs contain his new pirates not candy and he just wanted to take them in the car with him. Unfortunately some mom did let her kids bring their candy to church and happened to sit accross from us. Poor little Henry couldn't handle it!
It was such a lovely Easter! It is so difficult to express the sweet joy of raising kids, but at least we will have these pictures as memories to hopefully remind us. It has been such a special experience this year teaching Breitling the true meaning of Christmas and Easter. At the dinnertable we were asking him about his Easter lesson in primary and he proceeded to make up a song about the Easter story. It was complete from Christ being crucified, to him being put in the tomb, to the rock being moved, to him being resurrected(and yes I was very proud he even used that word in his song), to the nice lady being happy to see him. It was very rewarding to know that all my consious efforts to teach him the gospel are not in vain. He gets his great song making up skills from his daddy:)
